Acute Infections

When using herbs for medicine, quality is paramount!

Bluebird Herbals uses the highest quality herbs, period. Mass-market organic herbs can’t match the healing power of herbs grown by herbalists on permaculture farms. The difference between a summer tomato from a local farm with its’ superior flavor, richness and texture and a tomato grown for mass market is  just as clear. Loved plants produce better medicine!

Standard dose of Herbal Antibiotics tincture is 1/2 tsp 3 times/day.  Standard dose of tea is about 1 Qt steeped tea  using 1/4 cup of herb per day.  One ounce bulk tea is approximately a weeks worth of tea.   Be sure to get enough medicine to cover you for prevention as well as treating an existing infection. If you have recurring acute infections, it can be very beneficial to consult with an herbalist to strengthen the system that has been weakened.  When the weakened system returned to balance, the infection is not able return.  The most common examples of this are ear infections, urinary tract infections, and Herpes.

A Word on Using Herbs and Conventional Treatment:

Herbs can be used effectively for disease with or without conventional treatments and pharmaceuticals.  In fact, in a small proportion of cases using both is the most effective course of action.  The herbs we use and the way we use them do not cause interactions with pharmaceuticals.
