Herbs for Pets
Common Ailments and Herbal Treatments for Canines and Felines:
There is nothing more important in holistic medicine than paying attention to changes and unusual behavior. Having a conscious moment each day to really ‘see’ your beloved is the best way to prevent and treat early (and easily) dis-ease.
- Watch for subtle signs of pain (reluctance to do normally active behaviors) such as hesitation when jumping/romping. Look to the eyes. Panting, chop licking and restlessness are often signs of pain.
- Watch for subtle signs of infection. Changes in food intake, changes in required rest. Something just ‘not quite right’. If you feel it to be wise, start with herbal antibiotics and see a vet if not making a positive change in between 2 and 24 hours depending of frequency and dose.
Diet is the cornerstone of finding and maintaining health. There are a number of high quality foods available for the first time for pets. Carnivores need a raw diet! Feed Natures Variety, Primal or Halshans.
